Promotion of development of Web Based Products/Applications has become necessary in the present age. Web Based Products now contribute heavily towards the economic growth of a country. Pakistan lags far behind in this field when compared not only with western countries but also a developing country like India.

It has now become quite essential to look after this neglected field in Pakistan. In the absence of any noteworthy platform where the students/faculties can express their innovative ideas, views/plans and experiences giving birth to new web based products or improving the existing one it is proposed that a student society in the name of “Web Society” may be introduced to cater the need of promoting Web Based Entrepreneurship.

Professional Contributions made by the students of reputed institutes like IBA and others may serve a lot to enrich the Web Based Products in the country.

The proposed Web Society would not be confined only to the development of Web Based Products/Applications but will also keep on changing/improving/introducing new Web Based Products on the basis of ideas/views/opinions expressed by the students of various universities/faculties from time to time.

The Web Society would be a platform where students and/or faculty members of IBA could express their talent in terms of Web based products. The important purpose of this Web Society is to provide students with experience and knowledge enabling them to become entrepreneurs of tomorrow.

It is proposed that the work done in this society could be used with further enhancement part of the student’s final year project as well.
